Gail,
I don't really know if there are any studies...I can only go on what the officer went on.
I know that some are adamantly against them. I find them very convenient when traveling in town....My dogs can look out and can lay and sleep, they are cushioned and hooked in....
If one is traveling to dog shows and you are transporting more than one dog in a van and equipment....crates stack better......just have to make sure they get plenty of air......I do prefer crates during that time...although, I hate veri-kennels.....[/QUOTE]
Ok I'll do some research on that. I have a couple of crates for Razz. Right now we don't need to stack, in fact we can't with our setup stack two crates on top of one another. We kind of do a tee with two 40" crates in car. Razz has a wire crate he rides in car with - like the wire crates I have for the two big ones. He is cinched in in his wire crate between our seats. We are going to purchase a unit that sits on the back of our trunk .. quite simply we need that as the roof rack is not good. Can't get too much in it, and the wind drag is awfull. Camping n stuff we have so much to take with us.
