Posting colors on the papers - is really not a good indications of what they will actually be as an adult, since color is listed when you register them as a pup. I usually mark them as blue and gold. So it is totally up to the breeder when the dog is a pup as to what they mark. Often some inexperienced breeders will mark black and tan on their papers since this is what color a typical yorkie looks as a pup. But remember they do go through color change as they grow and most often get lighter.
