If the Op or any other good pet home goes the opposite direction just because the dog was bred by someone who obviously should not be breeding dogs...this puppy will end up in the wrong hands and the cycle will continue.
If the seller were a puppymill or a disreputable breeder...trust me...she wouldn't be for sale for $500. She is 8 months old. She would soon be pregnant...not for sale.
This sounds like someone who got this puppy for the wrong reasons and is wanting her gone and priced her cheaply to get it done.
