Yes, Ellie is 8 and is not fully trained. A lot of times I probably miss her asking to go out. She has to wear a diaper because of it... And crate training would be nice, except that she has no problem going all over herself.
I used to leash her to me for days at a time so that I'd catch when she had to go. Well, that is obv. not possible for months at a time, so it didn't last long. She is more motivated to get it right when treats are involved.
