I'm guessing that's why breeders who aren't very reputable want to turn them loose at 6-8 weeks to avoid any or at least the 2nd set of shots cost.
Does this breeder have any kind of contract, health guarantee?
I'm not sure if you did any research on them to see if there are complaints, problems with sick puppies, etc...
Those are things to think about, especially with getting a puppy that young.
After 6 weeks they get to be a lot more work. Mother is done caring for them and cleaning up after them. The breeder is constantly cleaning up poop and feeding, and if they have several litters it can be a full time job. so that is why they like to send them off to their new homes.

It is pure selfishness and laziness on the part of the breeder. they do not have the puppies's best interest in mind. Nor are they thinking of the new homes and how well the puppies will adjust. they just want the money.
