I'm sure you baby will be fine. I haven't done my dog yet, but I've done a lot of birds and cats and stuff happens. They get over it fast. I am interested in the electric trimmers, but I've been told a lot of dogs don't like the noise. That said, I think it helps a lot if you have two people present -- one to hold the dog and another to cut. Yorkies can be pretty squirmy.
