Fromm's Surf & Turf is fairly high in protein, minimum 30%.
Judging from my 2 boys, pooping 3-4 times a day at that age is normal. You might have to wait until your pup is a little older to hope for getting the schedule down to 2 times per day. I think it also depends on the size of your dog.
