Sorry for being so slow on the follow-up post. It was so hard seeing her so pitiful the first night. We had a hard time getting her to eat or drink, so we finally decided to give her Nutrocal--which she licked up

-- and we were also able to get her to drink water only from a syringe.
I was able to spend all day at home with her on Wednesday (day after surgery) and she basically laid in my lap all day. I am so glad that I was able to "baby" her all day. By the afternoon she finally ate a little real food with a treat and also drank water out of her bowl. The vet sent home pain meds which we were instructed to give to her twice daily and I can tell that it has definitely eased the pain and helped her rest.
By today, (Thursday- 3rd day) she seems so much better. She is still very tired and not back to normal, but she is eating better and drinking water on her own. And she's back to giving us lots of kissies
She is such a strong little girl- especially to be so tiny. We are so blessed to have such a sweet little girl and sooo happy that everything went well with her surgery. I know that so many are nervous about the decision to spay and/or teeth clean due to putting our precious babies asleep, which I struggled with, but I'm happy to post another success story.
Thanks again to everyone for the positive thoughts & prayers!
