I have a 4.5 pound and almost 6 pound yorkie and they both walk a 4 mile circle with no problem.... the puppy still has energy to play after

Stroller's for dogs IMO are quite silly, but I guess if your one of those people that are petrified for your dog to touch grass or absoulty need to take your dog shopping with you, then I guess a stroller would serve a purpose.

I'm not against strollers, per say. I can see it being used very occasionally... but I am *so* not for not allowing your dogs on grass, around other dogs, etc. Dogs are social creatures and I think some ppl isolate their dogs too much and don't allow them to be dogs. I am protective over Jackson: I scope every situation out first, I would never let him on the big dog side of the park if there's too many, etc, but my philosophy is you can't go around worrying and thinking that the worst is going to happen all the time. It's better to live a fulfilling life. You can always prevent certain things, but somethings you cannot. I often see that the highly overprotective people are the ones who end up having accidents happen often, and the more laid back nonchalant people don't. I think you need to find a good place in the middle.

Let me add that I understand not everybody who puts their dogs in strollers don't exercise their dog. I think that's just an image that's put out there when the general public sees people walking along with their dogs in strollers because I know I used to think it. "What, the dog can't walk?" That type of attitude.

I would only use a stroller for Jackson if he was injured, or when he gets old. For me personally, that's the only time I could ever see myself using one. He loves to walk and walk and walk though so I don't think he would stand for staying in a stroller anyways, lol. I've walked 4 dogs at one time all on leashes and they were all well behaving dogs, so it really wasn't that hard.
