To the OPer, I surely hope that you have a nice nest egg put away for vet care. With a puppy being this tiny and so very young, away from its deceased mother, no litter mates, flying on an airplane, being left alone with only 1 visit from a friend daily, and the list goes on~there is a very high likelihood that very expensive care will be needed.
I am not sure what type of income that you have but please make sure that you have funds together for ER visits and possibly other medical issues.
Is the breeder that is flying in the plane with this puppy going to take any additional financial responsibility if there are health issues from his leaving her care at such a very young age? Regardless if the mother died, when you breed you are responsible for the care of the puppies that you allowed to be brought into this world. In the very least you should consider this thought/idea. Your cute tiny immature puppy could in the end cost you a great deal of money that you might not be aware that you are facing~thousands of dollars in expenses could be in your very near future. |
Good advice. There's another member on here that bought her puppy from a fairly local breeder. The pup was 8 weeks of age and tiny. She's already spend thousands. Coccidia, hyperglycemia, mange......orthepedic care......you name it.
