Do you live close to where you work? Is there any way you can set up a webcam or something so you can keep an eye on the baby? Is there any chance you can take him with you for the first few weeks?
My puppies are 7 weeks old now and they cuddle up to sleep together. I've been putting juice bottles of hot water under the sides of their blankets on their bed to give them a spot that is warmer. I've also been giving them a bit of goat milk in with their water to make sure they are drinking enough. They have dry puppy food all the time and I give them softened kibble 3 or 4 times during the day. I don't know if it's good or not, but I give them a little bit of human babyfood (the meat) before they go to bed at night. They are still getting me up almost every night for a snack since Mom quit feeding them.
