I think that's it in a nutshell. You were brought up with an outdoor dog that was never a companion. You have now jumped headfirst into the world of little dogs who we never want to be apart from! We can all relate.
I don't board Lady, but pay twice as much for pet sitters. I double back home all the time so she can go to the few stores she is allowed. I don't go out at night very often because Lady is diabetic and needs insulin shots twice a day at the same time every day .... for almost 8 years.
Being a pet owner is inconvenient and expensive. You haven't even gotten to the expensive part yet since Sadie is so young.
But they are so worth it.
