I'm going to throw in my 1 cent...I have a friend who is not a dog person.
He's big hearted in all ways and one of the nicest people I know...he was one of my 'rocks' when my husband died...I don't know what I'd have done without him.....
When he comes to my home I do my best to accomodate him - which means I either hold my 2 or they have a little time in the bedroom - only because they want to climb all over him and he's got a fetish about wet noses and just pets in general. It's no secret how he feels and I understand it totally.
I don't get offended because he's my guest ....and while this is THEIR home - I can't seem to get them to stay on the floor and leave him alone. It doesn't bother me to do this because the way I see it is it's MY fault for not training them better to 'stay' down......
The couch is their couch and anyone who sits on it is fair game ..(Cheri even climbed the back of the couch one time and managed to sneak a kiss on the back of his neck - then ran like her butt was on fire)
....but ...since I know he's very quirky in his 'fear' or 'dislike' of dogs, I just roll with it.....
