When we originally got our Japanese Chin / Poodle mix (my wannabe Yorkie), I wrote out a list of names and my husband and I went over them for days before deciding on the name Bear. Then, the more we watched him, the more he looked like Gizmo off of the Gremlins. We continued to call him Bear for a little more than a week, but really debated on changing it. The final decision was made while I was standing in front of the ID tag maker at Petsmart. I asked my husband what he thought and we both wanted to change his name to Gizmo......so we did!
The week before I even knew I was getting Lilly the question of the day on the radio station I listen to each morning was in regards to a young lady who started college and couldn't take her service animal named Lilly with her.....they wanted to know what type of animal it was. Turns out it was a ferret, but I so loved that name and told my husband that when I got my Yorkie girl I was going to name her Lilly. He didn't even try to argue and 2 weeks later I had her.
