Glaucoma is very painful so removing the eye is necessary. KCS can be managed with artificial tears and diligent attention to eyelid hygiene as the area tends to be chronically inflamed (Blepharitis) from the thick discharge. I have both an eyelid scrub and a gel cleanser for Lady plus I wash her face every morning. With good hygiene and artificial tears 6 times a day, it can be managed with minimum discomfort.
This puppy just needs someone who will commit to taking care of her and possibly getting parotid duct surgery.
