I'm so excited! After Max graduates, he can go to daycare! We've been thinking of sending him 1 day each week, so he'll make some doggy friends.
My husband is so frustrated with the puppy days (Max is 5 months, he's been with us for 3), he's questioning why he went with a Yorkie (what I wanted) instead of a lab (what he wanted). I keep telling him to have patience, but I really think it will help for Max to learn some basic commands (I keep telling my husband that Max just needs to learn some manners & he'll be fine.) |
Why is your husband frustrated? Is he too hyper or not housebroken? Really don't understand. You guys only had him for 3 months. That's not a very long time.
Be happy you guys didn't get a lab. Yorkies matures mentally about 1-2 years. Labs mature mentally about 3-4 years old. Labs requires more excerise and can be very distructive when they are bored out of their wits. Two of my best friends have labs and the get up at 4am to walk the dog, they have to excerise them constantly or else you couldn't live with them. However, if you can survive the first 3 years of the labs life, they become very good dog.
