They have never tested their products on animals in the sense that they fed bunnies Skittles or rats M&Ms.
If you are basing the info on the PETA site page here: MarsCandyKills.com // Mars' Heartless Animal Experiments
I urge you to look up each and every one of those medical experiments as they were published to see what was done and why. Then spend some time perusing other experiments that are done to test new medicine, procedures and consumer products.
Try this site to find those original publications: Google Scholar
I applaud your attempt to bring attention to this issue. People need to learn how to read all information with a critical eye - is the PETA site journalism or is it propaganda? Investigate the source of their facts and then decide for yourself. |

I agree with this, and I wish people would be against inhumane testing instead of animal testing. What wrong with finding a dog food that really does reduce the incidence of bladder stones in dogs? I mean actual proof that it does this. Mars isn't giving the dogs bladder stones, they are testing dogs that have already developed stones, and Mars is testing a variety of diets on these dogs to see if certain things lessen the probability of stones reoccurring. I applaud companies who do responsible animal testing.
