That's probably a really good idea to have the vet check. We had an elderly Shih Tsu that had an anal gland infection. It took numerous rounds of antibiotics to clear up. She was blind and deaf and had begun biting really bad. We thought it was because of her sight and hearing but when we finally got the anal gland infection cleared up she quit biting. I felt really bad - it must have really been hurting her.
