Since this is a new puppy I think it would be important for you to make an appointment with a vet for a well puppy checkup. When you go, hopefully soon, take a stool sample and they will check it and treat it accordingly. IMO, when you actually see worms in the feces then that means the puppy already has pretty serious infestation of parasites and they can actually do damage to the puppy. You may also be dealing with more than one type of parasite, and it is better to know for sure, so a good checkup now could save you a lot in a few weeks.
