Confused Just how accurate are these weight formulas?

I was wondering, just how accurate are these formulas to determine adult weight
I've heard so many like triple the weight at 7 weeks or double at 12 weeks and add an extra pound or whatever they may be.
My baby weighs 2.6lbs at 7.5 weeks (well that's what the kitchen scale says!) so that would mean he'd be over 7 lbs. I'm not really bothered, as long as he's healthy The breeder told me he would loose a bit of his puppy weight as he no longer drinks his mothers milk. How true is that?
I mean, he doesn't look or feel like he weighs that much. He does look a bit round at the belly but I think all pups are. His parents aren't big either.
