I'm loving all the reply's, thank you all.. wish I had time to reply to each one personally, but I have to say, I feel less crazy now, even though I heard a lot of "you're nuts" today.
While I am still considering Adonis, I have found a breeder right here where I live (finally!) who seems reputable. I am going over there hopefully Thursday to check things out. She has 3 pups who she believes will be bigger, at least 6 pounds, she's thinking more like 8. They are a little cheaper, and right here in town. Not ready to go yet, only 8 weeks old, so a month to wait.. but close enough that I can visit. I feel good about this breeder so far, and I feel ever better about the fact that I can go check things out, PICK a puppy, watch it grow, and then bring it home. Slower sometimes is better. I'm prepared, but I'd like a little more time to be better prepared $$ wise. I'll keep you all posted! Either way, I'm getting my baby, SOON. If people don't like it, tough. I'm at the point now where I'm saying if you don't agree with me that's fine, just zip it
