I also worry a lot about those blankity blank hawks. I did fix up my yard to scare the darn things away and so far I've not seen or heard any. I did, however, get a scare a few weeks ago when I saw what I thought were hawks circling above. When I heard their cry I knew they weren't hawks but osprey. Take a look at this link,Ospreys, Osprey Pictures, Osprey Facts - National Geographic and you'll see why they can be mistaken for hawks. The osprey, however, is a fish hunter. It's a big, big bird with a wingspan up to 5 or 6 feet with very impressive talons.
