Well I am starting to calm down a little bit and it's kind of getting better.. Maddie is definately peeing and pooping cause I am always cleaning it up. My neighbor gave me some stuffed animal with that thing inside that you heat up and it keeps them warm.. I have been putting her in her crate with 2 stuffed animals, her bed and an alarm clock.. Just like I did Tucker...I called the breeder this morning and left a message with her daughter and she never called me back... Point Taken....Anyways, I guess I was thinking that since they kept one of her sisters then atleast she could have one of her littermates a little longer.. I have been giving her Nutrical and today she has actually been playing and eating well.. Actually, she will only eat out of Tuckers bowl so it is funny when he tries to eat also, she will keep scooting in front of him so he can't get any...He just looks at me like "see what you've done". She still cries when she goes in the crate but not as long and she will eventually stop after awhile..I was totally wrong for assuming that she would be easy since Tucker was.. Lesson learned.. As for her age, I am positive that she is 6wks because I picked her out at 3days old and they made it clear that she would be going in the paper at 6wks so every friday for 6wks I went and visited her and held her for a while..I called my vet back, by the way she has a clean bill of health.. I took her right after I got her before I got her home so there were no signs yet.. I called him back and he said that alot of runts have a harder time leaving their littermates and mother and that it may take her longer to adjust.. Believe it or not, it is so common for any breed of puppy to go to a new home at 6wks.. Maybe I should find a vet that specializes in small breeds..Anyways, all is calm for now here and my husband is being super sweet to her and very supportive of us hanging in there...Thank you everyone for your help and concern.. I realize that she was not the best breeder, but someone had to love Maddie.... |
