Jenn, I am with you!!! I joined here to look for a yorkie to call my own. About 5 years ago I rescued one from the shelter, he's a doll and living with my parents who adore him. My mom is home ALL the time and he needs someone home with him. I did think about doing the shelter thing again but found a lovely woman on this forum with 2 little girls who need a forever home. It will be more expensive than a shelter dog but I feel it's the right price to pay for a healthy, well adjusted, loved dog.

On a whim I stopped in a pet store that had a cute yorkie in the window. He told me they start at $3200 but that one was $1800 because he was 4 months old. My heart tightened as I worry what happens if he reaches 5 or 6 and is not sold? It just breaks my heart to see them in the windows.

You have every right to spend your money on what you want. I like you thought about this and searched out the right way to spend my money. I haven't told anyone in my family what I will be paying since it is none of their business. I am sure it will come up and I will make up some lowball number since it doesn't matter.

I do hope he is there for you Saturday! Good Luck!!!!!!
