I would rather have the teeth out than her spayed, and I really believe in spaying. Yorkies are very prone to tartar, and tartar is the cause of most tooth loss. The double row of teeth cause food buildup, which leads to rapid formation of tartar, and also can cause permanent teeth not to come in properly. I would see another vet ASAP, many Yorkies start losing permanent teeth at the age of 3, so tooth care is critical. Poor dental health affects every part of the body, including the heart.
