Animal Smiley 036 Pre-Surgery Bloodwork - Help?

Hello there!!! I am new to YT and I have learned so much from you already! I have a 4 pound male that is being neutered today (or was supposed to be). In the pre-surgery bloodwork, the BUN came out a little elevated (liver was fine). I dont have the paperwork in front of me (will get that this afternoon and repost).

In your experiences, how high is 'high'? To be very honest, I am little skeptical that they are seeing their opportunity to run a ton of diagnostics on him just because he's barely over their normal (lets not forget that vets are in business too). I am trying to balance my obvious realistic concern vs. not getting taken for 1K just in tests???

He is 6 months and full of vigor - no obvious signs anything is wrong. Any advice ya'll can impart on me would ease my mind!
