Just got back from the vet with some good news. He doesn't think Oscar is suffering or in pain. He said that the holes in his mouth don't seem to be painful just a nusance. And the pooping and straining is just normal to him now. He is very optimistic. He said that he isn't your typical Yorkie, but he's as good as he's gonna get. It's good that he still has an appetite, still loves attention and still plays. We just have to keep an eye on everything to make sure he doesn't get any infections. He's still on prednisone 2.5mg twice a day until he gets a little better then only once a day. The vet said he doesn't like that he is on so much pred. but if it helps and is keeping him alive, it's ok. So I guess again, Oscar has proved to be a meriacle puppy. He was actually humping his toy yesterday, so that is a good sign. I guess I just have to accept the fact that I have a special needs dog and just spoil him and take care of him the best I can. Thanks again for everyone's thoughts and prayers.
