Thank you SO much for the advise.  I'll talk to him about the BATs when we go back for more bloodwork.  It's good to be fortified with knowledge when making important decisions.    
My husband and I are totally in love with this little pooch, but financially, ummm.....not so good.  Thinking about vet bills in our past that we could afford then, and absolutely   could not  now, I bought a PetPlan policy last April.  Thank heaven.  Now, we'll see how well they really cover Zoey.  We're sure not thrilled with our  human insurance company.       |  
 
  yeah insurance for humans has changed i always kept the same policy for 7 years and this year 2010 there were a ton of changes and of course i never read up before renewing 
  
I bet alt was high due to metacam.  Next time ask if you can get from compounding pharmacy as dentist ran out of right dose for dd and she had to take liquid and that stuff is nasty tasting - she made faces she has never made before loll poor baby
