My Snickers is 1.5 yrs old and he has battled with teary eye boogers since I've had him at 8 weeks old. Snickers is on a raw rotation diet with incredible quality foods and I am still dealing with the tearing. I have tried al proteins and it still happens. It may be something you deal with through your entire Yorkie lifetime
. We have tried doing many things including using a stainless steel water bowl, distilled water, apple cider vinegar & white vinegar in his water. One thing that helped a bit is Angel Eyes which is a powder which contains an antibiotic called Tylosin. It has not stopped his tearing but has reduced it and now his tearing is clear instead of dark red/brown like it used to be.
