I asked them to just trim the body a little and not touch anything on her head or ears and that's exactly what they did. I hear you about the heat, it can be brutal on the little ones so as soon as it starts getting up into the 80's and 90's Soph becomes a 100% indoor dog until the fall. I've seen lots of cute cuts where the body is really short but the head is left long so it can be put up. Also saw one that had a schnauzer cut that was absolutely adorable. As far as age, until she's had all the shots, especially bordatella and parvo, no reputable groomer will touch her, for the safety of both your baby and their other clients. At six months she she should be done with them so you should be ok I would think. Been too long since Soph was a pup so I can't remember for sure when all the shots are finished.

Thanks for the tip! I live right next to the Petsmart on Rainbow and 215. I watched them the last time I was in there grooming the dogs, the pups looked really good, but the people doing the grooming looked really grumpy lol, so it made me a little worried! I'll probably just wait till she's a little older, and I'm gonna try to find a local groomer that has tons of good reviews!
