Thanks everyone for your well wishes. Its only 7:40pm but it feels like 10 pm. Its been a long day. First we picked up the pup which was about 1 1/2 hours away. She traveled well in the crate and didn't get sick..thank goodness.
Max didn't care too much about her when we first met her, but once we came home, he was barking at her alot. I have her in her x pen, and for her safety I closed it off from Max. I've since let her out and once Max was well behaved, he got a treat. I did this each time until he left her alone. Hopefully, we are past that now.
My daughter decided to name her Lily. She looks like a Lily. She is a rescue from a puppy mill so she is very timid. She's had a long day , she was falling asleep sitting up. Poor thing...
I took her to my vet this afternoon. Mind you, she was spayed yesterday. The vet thinks that she was spayed earlier than yesterday and that she may have an infection. Uggh.....$200 later, she got an antibiotic shot at the office, antibiotic pills to take home and an anti-inflammatory. She's hoping that this is all she'll need and not have to open her back up to remove any necrotic tissue, etc. The visit also included a heartworm test and fecal.
She smells like something else....I don't understand why they didn't bathe her prior to the surgery but now she can't have a bath for 10 days. I have "Dry Clean" from Pet Head, so I'll try that tomorrow. She's had a stressful enough day today...
