Yep...this works real good. Sometimes I have a girl that quit's eating around her 6 th week...and I mean totally not eating. I syringe feed her. I syringe her twice a day, and encouraged her to eat whatever I can get her to eat in between.

I grind puppy kibble to a ground coffee consistency, and mix it with goats milk formula. Sometimes she will eat it on her own...if not, she gets it syringed fed. Keep the puppy formula close by as you are feeding, as the ground kibble will continue to thicken as you feed and you will have to have it at the right consistency for it to flow out the syringe. This will make syringing it a lot easier, with less spitting it all over.

I keep these syringes on hand in bulk!! I cut the tips a bit more to a help the gruel flow better.

Most girls will take this with ease. And it will put some needed weight on a thin girl pretty quickly.
Usually...after the pups are born, they will eat it on their own with other foods as well. I also use this method if a new mom's stays picky a little too long after birth.
