Obtaining your dog from an classified ad is not the best way and something I wouldn't recommend. However, it's the way I obtained my first yorkie (I wasn't savvy then), but it did turn out ok. But, always remember, you buy your breeder first, then your dog. If you don't feel comfortable with your breeder, walk away, no matter how cute that puppy is. All puppies are adorable.
Do your homework, go meet the breeder, check their guarantee, check out their practices.
