As Crystal pointed out, though, a note/exemption from your vet really means nothing if your dog is exposed to rabies. It only exempts them from the shot so you don't pay a fine. They will still have to be quarantined or even euthanized according to your state law if they bite someone or are exposed to a rabid animal.
