Lucy used to do that (and still does); it works well to her advantage! She can be hanging all over Ringo - biting his ears; paws, climbing on his back . . but if he so much as growls at her or puts her in her place - she squeals like she is dying.
I've always gone over to check things out and there has NEVER BEEN A MARK ON HER. And that's even when Ringo was being kind of mean, at first. Now, SHE is usually the one NIPPING at him - but he does have a fierce growl.
Anyway, it IS very effective, her
'I'm dying' squeal, because I come running over and she gets away from Ringo for a minute - only to go right back to biting at his ears the minute she gets the chance.
Puppies are very dramatic!
Of course, you still need to make sure she is not getting hurt but I'm just sayin . . . .
