since I brought home my yorkie puppy the end of July my poor cat has been sick with bouts of blood in his urine. I have had him at the vet 3 times & he went back in yesterday. vet just called, did blood work, xrays etc. & can't find anything wrong. he has been on antibiotics twice (10 days & then for 16 days) & things clear up for 2 or 3 days & it is right back again. so the vet has come to the conclusion that my cat just hates my new puppy (since this started about a month after I got him) I knew the day I brought my yorkie home the cat hated him, but I assumed he would get use to him. NO WAY! HE JUST WANTS THAT YORKIE GONE!
The cat sees this as an upset in his world & just doesn't want him here. He is suffering from Depression & Stress.
So now I have to put my cat on "anti-anxiety" medicine. Boy, these pets!
It is like the way some little skin kids get jealous over Mommy bringing home a new baby!
