That Digitutor site is amazing. It's really helped me ease into being more comfortable with the camera. I actually had a blast playing around with it last night.
Tonight is my first class on DSLR cameras. The real Photography class (learning about ISO, aperatures, etc.) starts in a few weeks. Until then anyway, I'm going to follow Mike's suggestion to just get comfortable using the auto mode since I really don't understand the manual settings yet.
Thanks Ann - I'm feeling much better now. And the camera & I are making friends....we'll be just fine.
Mike, I haven't named the camera yet. I'm thinking about staying with something generic like Honey or Sweetie just so I don't slip up.
