You guys are cracking me up. Only advice right now is just to ease into it. Read the book just for what you need to know the most. Find out how to use the main auto setting. Then find out how to use the sports auto setting. Use the main one for most pictures. Use the sports one for any action shots.

Don't worry too much about manual settings, shutter priority or aperature priority settings just yet. You want to have some success on auto to motivate you to learn more about the camera.

And whatever you do, don't call it by the wrong name!
