In the past my vet has told me to just bring the mother along when I brought the pups in. He did not seem overly concerned.
I thought I had read somewhere to never pull it out, that is why I asked. I've never before had one that I could get ahold of. Looks like there are different thoughts on that practice
Anyway I gave her the rasberry syrup and within a half hour it was out.
