I was told never to pull on it, so I don't, my mentor told me that she lost a girl by trying to pull a placenta out, if you in doubt and the tea don't seem to work in a couple of hours call your vet and take her in. that is what I go by. I know you ladies have a ton more experience than me, but I would NEVER pull on a string that is still inside the mom without a contraction.
