You do everything in your power to improve the breed. But, I do agree with you, more that goes into making a reputable breeder than just putting two dogs together. You do not breed for off colored yorkies and sell them as rare for high prices. Just as you don't breed purposely for tinies and sell them for high prices. I'm not saying that producing a tiny or an off colored yorkie is unheard of in a reputable breeder's program. But, I repeat, we "do not sell them", they are spay/nuetered and "placed" in approved homes. In my opinion if you are breeding, you should be following a code of ethics and conduct.
