We're dealing with this now too. We're going away in April for the first time since we got Roxie. None of my family members wanted the responsibility of taking care of her, so one of my coworkers volunteered. She has 3 dogs of her own and her son is a vet tech, so I am confident in leaving Roxie with them. I know she will be well taken care of. She won't accept money from me, but I will find a way to pay her for being so kind.
