The plan is to go for even longer walks as soon as the snow disappears and the weather gets warmer. Also, I am planning on training agility with her. I have read that yorkies need almost no physical exercise, but this idea seems all wrong to me. After all, they are dogs, and little Lily has a lot of energy. So I'm curious of how much exercise yor all give your yorkies. I've never had one before and I don't want to do anything wrong with my little sweetheart. |
I never agreed with the advice, either, about yorkies not needing much exercise. Mine always loved exercise and adventures. I just stay tuned into my yorkie. Mine always "told me" when they were tired. Kacee starts looking up at my face when she's getting tired. My vet always said that their organs work better when they get lots of exercise. Plus, it builds up their muscles and keeps them from having so many problems with arthritis and weight gain. Go for it!
