I just checked the newer Powershot G10 and G11..boy that G10 sounds nice too. The G11 doesn't have RAW capabilities that is one strike against it in for me anyways. Has some capabilities like a DSLR..but not the weight and the worry about changing lenses. I would do an internet search to see what it has. Maybe you could find a good used one??
