I now volunteer and foster for another yorkie rescue group and while we may have many questions, they all pertain to the well being of the pups and are very important in ensuring proper placement and a happy, healthy environment. I'm not saying adoptiing from a rescue is for everyone, but please don't give others the idea that it's a bad experience - because it isn't. These little guys in rescue are wonderful, adorable, loveable babies that deserve a good home.

IMO, anyone that gets a dog should have to go through the same "rescue type" questioning whether you're adopting from a rescue, shelter or purchasing a pup through a reputable breeder. If there were an application process for obtaining a dog, the numbers in shelters/rescues would be reduced greatly, of that I'm certain.
