I have only one little yorkie girl and she is my first so I can't compare male vs female with yorkie's but I have had rotties for alot of years and once was told that females are more serious and protective because in nature they have the responsibility of their litters. And males tend to be a little more carefree and playful etc. Not sure if it is true or not but it did seem to be the case with our dogs through the years and seems like it would apply to any breed of dog. Just a thought. Though I am sure there are exceptions to the rule, there always are!
