My two dogs prior to my two current females were toy breed males and there is a bonus to males that no one has mentioned- they are MUCH easier to potty train and are more likely to want to please you as far as training in general for tricks and such. You will see the lipstick on occasion when they are excited someone has come home etc. Both mine were neutered young and never humped or marked. Boys are little boys forever and will play and be silly lifelong where as a girl gets a little more serious with adulthood. I have found both sexes that I have had equally affectionate and wanting to be with you as much as possible but girls seem to handle time apart a little better- just my experience. |
