Yep - Manhattan here too. And honestly I have yet to find one that really did a great job for the cost. Vets here are insane too. My own doctor is cheaper then theirs! I decided one year to get titers on one because I am anti vaccine and that with the cost of the visit was over $650....just to tell me the vaccines we gave her 5 years ago was still valid! What a shock - now I just take my chances and dont vaccinate. It says a lot that a one year rabies still is active 5 years later and if I listened to the vet she would have had 4 more in system unnecessarily. Maybe if they were backyard dogs I would worry more but now I only take my kids out on leash and even wear those little balloon galoshes for their paws because city sidewalks skeeve me and I was having to bathe them after ever walk before I found them. They are like little yellow condoms for their paws and they dont mind them that much because they can still grip the floor with the rubber.
