Well, Rio ended up vomiting again at 4 am and having dry heaves/vomiting bile at 6am. So off we went to the vet AGAIN. Since her diarrhea has stopped (although I don't know if it only stopped because there is nothing inside her to come out!), they focused on her nausea and dehydration. She got subcutaneous fluids and an IV shot of reglan. Sent us home with liquid reglan and liquid antibiotic metronidazole.
The ER vet recommended to stop the rice and chicken breast and give baby rice cereal with chicken baby food 1 tsp at a time. She said it will be even easier for her to digest until her tummy gets better. Have any of you tried this combo of baby rice cereal and chicken baby food? |
