I use AMC too now but only for special needs - when Roxy had kidney disease I saw a kidney specialist and at one point I was considering allowing my breeder to breed and keep Lexi throughout the pregnancy and birth the pups so we saw a canine fertility specialist but it didn't work out. I'm glad I did that before even deciding. Sadly that is also where Trixie died but they hadn't treated her before...it was her last two days where the tried to bring her back from the Lysidrone the regular vet put her on. The place is amazing - they have a cardiology unit, an oncology unit, a nephrology unit...it's like 9 or 10 floors...like a regular hospital but it is extremely impersonal. I dont use them for regular care.
I am using W Chelsea Veterinary and they are ok, but until you are in a crisis it seems you don't really know if they are that great. Except for puppies, I'm pretty anti vaccine, maybe once every 5 years and they respect that so I appreciate that. I also used St Marks and I liked the vets and it was a good office but the techs were awful. I actually overheard two saying to each other I hate yorkies. Even if I just overheard personal talk I felt it under minded the professionalism of the whole place and didn't go back. W Village is where I believe they killed my dog so they are a no go for certain! |
